Imagine this scenario:
You are considered THE BEST in the world at your chosen profession – according to critics, peers, well known in the public – and suddenly you MUST change your career.
Does this thought excite you, or terrify you?
If it is YOUR choice, then it’s a great thing!
If it’s doctor’s orders due to the damage you are inflicting on yourself, or due to a pandemic which demands it, then yes, that is terrifying.
I was in the same situation a few years ago because of my health.
This was a significant, and to some, a surprising, part of my book, “The Promise To The One”.
Very few people cheered me on, or even came along with me while I transitioned to a new place in my life and career, as they sat on the sideline and wondered if I’d lost my mind.
Truth is, it was crazy, looked crazy, sounded crazy, but it was necessary to my survival and happiness.
Years later I can look back and laugh about it now, but it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
Luckily, I knew, back then, just as I know now, that it was and is my Calling.
What is your Calling?
How do you know you’re LIVING your Calling?
Are you willing to jump out of the airplane?
It comes down to your Promises and willingness to live them, despite the uncertainty ahead.
I hope you enjoy this video discussion with leadership expert, Heidi Totten, as we discuss what this was like for me.
In turn, this is intended to help you feel courage and power to Keep The Promise for yourself and go for it, wherever your Calling may take you!

Things that were no-brainers in meetings two years ago are now fraught with public health and Meetings Etiquette concerns. How do you ask whether someone is OK shaking hands? How do you indicate that you yourself aren’t comfortable—or that you are? How do you indicate someone is too physically close for comfort? Before walking into […]
Sam Stewart, She survived breast cancer, an abusive marriage, financial ruin, a failed suicide attempt, body dysmorphia and much more, rises to the top and is back on her feet with purpose. “I’m getting angry at myself just practicing these things and why Your Team Isn’t Listening !” The comment by a business owner in my leadership training session caught me off guard. When I asked him to explain, he responded with, “I know the value of listening, but I won’t take the time to do it […]

Before the pandemic, we saw a clear Qubit mindset trend in evolving away from binary thinking and extending our thinking to the endless possibilities between 1 and 0. It has been said that “one should never let A Good Crisis go to waste”. I am an eternal optimist and I believe that in the midst of any crisis is opportunity.
