We’ve recently been on an investment drive to raise massive capital for our product, Lohocla and the number we are gunning for is rather massive relative to what we were thinking years ago and as such we Earn Your Stripes,
The funny thing is that the people we are contacting today are the very same people we were in contact with 3 or 4 years ago when we got all the no’s.
I couldn’t understand back then why everyone was saying no because I knew we had a good product, but the truth of the matter is that we needed to Earn Your Stripes yet and hadn’t accrued half the amount of traction we have accrued today.
It really comes down to filling your place, being able to outgrow where you are while you are looking at where you’re trying go.
Most people get frustrated by things happening slow or not happening, but what I’ve learnt is that there is no substitute for process, what you want to do will take as long as it requires and no more or less than that.
Your task is to do all that you can with what you can and win with that.
You must learn to do great things in a small place, so you can be promoted to do great things in a great place.
Now that I know what I know, I can definitely demand the numbers we are demanding because we are looking to solidify South Africa and enter global markets, and this is because we have earned our stripes, and this is what I want to leave you with today.
Nobody is going to invest in your idea until you can prove that you’ve put all that you can into your idea and they can see the benefit for themselves. It will always be a transaction of giving and receiving.
Earn your stripes. Don’t be a gimmick.

A sales slump is a time in which a sales pipeline loses its momentum, leads slow down, or stop coming in altogether, opportunities that are already in play begin to stagnate, and deals that we were sure to win we either lose to a competitor or to a lack of decision-making readiness from the customer. […]

The Survival Guide, originally written for overworked and underappreciated public servants, offers ten checkpoints that signal burnout. After sharing this popular workshop based on the book with audiences filled with clerks, librarians, planners, firefighters, administrators, and many other municipal groups, the private sector came calling. The Status Quo of Crisis Preparedness Puts You at a Disadvantage—and It’s Time For That To Change. Over the last couple of years, I’ve found myself increasingly frustrated with my industry, the crisis management profession. To put my frustration simply, the status quo of crisis preparedness and crisis management no longer suffices and, as a […]
With COVID-19 impacting so hugely on us globally and most of us practicing social distancing with A sanity toolkit, the main psychological challenge that many of us face is anxiety. This might include worries about what will happen next in our own worlds and in the world at large, worries about our health or the […]
What’s on your resilience resume? For most people in North America, this week marks the first anniversary of the pandemic changing our lives. It started with disbelief, upheaval, and constant change and progressed to the monotony of sameness. Regardless of the phase, there has been a consistent undertone of uncertainty as to what comes next. […]

I am very excited today to talk about one of my favorite topics of all time, HOW TO REMOTIVATE YOURSELF. Based on the fact that I got this question twice yesterday from two separate people from two separate parts of the country means that I’ve got to address this. It’s not just how do you […]
