Anja Ringgren Lovén is the moving spirit behind DINNødhjæp. She decided to resign as a store manager in 2011 to travel to Africa, where she worked for three months as an observer and relief worker for DanChurchAid (Folkekirkens Nødhjælp).
During her stay she experienced poverty and hunger so extreme that she in no way was able to forget it again. Because of that she decided that she will spend the rest of her life fighting poverty and hunger in Africa and thus help some of the poorest people in the world, to get a better life.
My Definition Of Success | Success is the result of hard work, dedication and determination. To me real success does not come easy. It demands a whole lot of sacrifices and struggles. Success to me personally comes when you have done something for someone who can never repay you.
I Am Driven By | To help others comes very naturally to me. So the drive in me comes naturally. I grew up with a mom who all her life worked at a nursing home, and she always told me that we need to help each other, to be useful in this life and to be compassionate. The drive I have now is also the children. When everything seems impossible I just look at the children and I keep going.
My Highlights | My son makes me proud and all the children I have saved from the street and given a home and hope for the future is something that makes me proud.
The Difference Between Good And Great | The difference between good and great can be answered in this one question: What do you do for others ?
A Key Talent | It´s difficult to say what my talent is when I don´t see myself as someone with a talent. All I do comes naturally and is a big part of my character. My strength is my determination to reach the goals that I set out to accomplish. Once I have made a goal I will do anything to reach that goal, and I´m willing to make sacrifices to reach my goal. My best advices is that whatever you do in life keep your family close because the love of family is much more important than wealth and privilege. To me the love from my family is my biggest strength.

The Best Advice I’ve Received | For me to be strong for others I need to think more about myself. I cannot be strong and protect others if I don´t take good care of myself.
On Inspiring Others | No one can succeed in life alone. Success comes when you surround yourself with people who loves you for who you are. What I know today is what my team has taught me. When you give love you will receive love. When you show trust you will receive loyalty. When you show dedication you will receive commitment. To motivate your people and to keep them working hard you need to show respect and treat them like your family.
